Send a correction

Include the URL of the page, the sentence you are flagging, and a link to an authoritative source that explains the issue. If the source applies only to a particular state, utility, or system, say which one.

We cannot assess an individual yard, identify the cause of a leak, or provide repair instructions by email. For an active leak, suspected wastewater, water entering a home, or water near damaged electrical equipment, contact the relevant local utility or qualified professional.
